Hrithik Roshan will not participate in the first schedule of Krrish 3, which begins on December 1 in Filmistan Studios (Goregaon).

This will be the first time that Roshan Junior will not be a part of the beginning of his father's home production.

The reason for the actor's absence is his current back problem. Doctors have advised him to refrain from doing action sequences .A source close to the film said, "The first schedule of Krrish 3 required Hrithik to do many stunts. It was originally planned for 30 days but now it has reduced to 20 days. Vivek Oberoi, Priyanka Chopra and Kangna Ranaut will shoot for this period."

Hrithik Roshan plays a Salsa dance instructor based in Las Vegas in his upcoming movie ‘Kites’. Apparently his dad, producer Rakesh Roshan wants to ensure that his son, who is already considered one of the best dancers in Bollywood, surpasses all his previous performances.

Hrithik seems to have narrowly escaped the predicament of his friend Salman, when his driver “accidentally” ran over a beggar!

Roshan had gone to visit Yash Chopra’s house in Juhu. While he was leaving, three beggars approached his car window and started knocking. Roshan’s driver slowed down the car.

One of the three beggars, who had thrown himself in front of the car, started screaming in pain and said that the car had run over his leg. Some other people came to lift the beggar up, but they were unable to do so. All this was done in an attempt to make Roshan understand that, the poor beggar was badly injured.

Nevertheless, the driver drove off with Roshan in the car. The driver and Roshan were convinced that they hadn’t done anything wrong. Yet, they were concerned for the beggar.

The driver dropped Hrithik off at his house. Then, Hrithik sent his driver to check out exactly what had happened. The driver went to the spot out of his own curiosity as well. He came back and reported to Roshan that the incident was a gimmick, staged by some really crazy fans. Both Hrithik and his driver were equally relieved!

The Complete Man
Hrithik Roshan, fondly known as Duggu by his near and dear ones, was born into a filmi family on 10 January 1974. His mother is Pinky Roshan, the daughter of producer and director J.Om Prakash while his father is Rakesh Roshan, who was an actor before turning into a director, besides being the son of music director Roshan. He is the nephew of music director Rajesh Roshan. He also has a sister Sunaina.

Hrithik studied at the Bombay Scottish School, Churchgate and has a degree in commerce from Sydenham College.

Soon after his successful debut in Bollywood, he tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Suzanne Khan, daughter of actor Sanjay Khan and sister of actor Zayed Khan. They have two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhan.

Trouble
He had his bad moments after stepping into the spotlight. His father was shot by the underworld when he refused to give the foreign rights of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. It was followed by rumours that the actor had made remarks against Nepalese which resulted in outrage against the actor in Nepal. However the actor denied it.

In 2009, he was linked with the Mexican actress, Barbara Mori, with who he shared a kiss in Kites. There were rumours that Suzanne walked out of the house. However, the couple and their families denied any trouble in the marriage.

A Star Is Born….
Hrithik is known to be a perfectionist and has worked hard to be where he is today. He prepares himself thoroughly for every role he portrays, has trained in dance and acting besides working on his diction and his appearance. He started working out under Salman Khan’s guidance, when he worked as an assistant director on the sets of Karan Arjun and Koyla.

He got a taste of Bollywood as a child, when he appeared in the film Aasha (1980), Aapke Deewane (1980), and Bhagwan Dada (1986). But it was the year 2000 that made people sit up and take note.

2000 Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, a love story directed by his father, in which he starred opposite newcomer Amisha Patel was an exceptional success, winning eight Filmfare awards among countless others, two of which landed with Hrithik for Best Debut and Best Actor. This was followed by Fiza with Karishma Kapoor and Jaya Bachchan, in which his portrayal of the terrorist Amaan was appreciated. He played a similar role in Mission Kashmir with Preity Zinta.

2001 Yaadein with Jackie Shroff and Kareena Kapoor wasn’t a big success while Karan Johar’s family drama, the star studded Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham was an instant hit.

2002 The year saw a string of flops like Aap Mujhe Acche Lage, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, and Mujhse Dosti Karoge, making people question about whether it was downhill from here.

2003 Hrithik removed all doubts with the science-fiction film Koi Mil Gaya with Preity Zinta, in which he played the role of a mentally abnormal Rohit who befriends an alien called Jadoo. He bagged the Filmfare Best Actor Award as well as the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance.

2004 Farhan Akhtar’s Lakshya did moderately well, while Hrithik’s role earned him a nomination for the Filmfare Best Actor Award.

2006 He returned back as Rohit alias Krrish in Krrish, the sequel to Koi Mil Gaya, this time with Priyanka Chopra. The movie was a hit and a top earner. This was followed by the action oriented Dhoom 2, the sequel to Dhoom. He played the baddie Mr A and won another Filmfare Best Actor Award.

2008 In Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodhaa Akbar, set in the sixteenth century, Hrithik Roshan took over as the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The film did well overseas while in India the response swung both ways.

2009 Fans saw the star mostly promoting his movie Kites at the Cannes Film Festival and in Zoya Akhtar’s Luck by Chance, in which he played the role of superstar Zaffar Khan.

Just a day before Hrithik Roshan started filming for the ambitious remake of Agneepath, he was spotted in Andheri with his wife Sussanne trying to oversee the business venture that she is rolling out.
Eyewitnesses inform TOI that Hrithik has been a regular at this part of the suburb for the last 15 days. On probing, we learned that the actor is hands on with his wife's business plan.
"He has been seen in Andheri almost every single day. Hrithik's wife has been with him and they have been overseeing the work that is going on for Sussanne's business venture. He is very passionate about what his wife is doing and is extremely proud telling the world about it. Sussanne's business will have a grand launch soon and Hrithik wanted to make sure that he is on top of things and completes as much important work as he can before he starts Agneepath," says a source close of the star.
Hrithik had told TOI, "I will be a constant support for Sussanne. I'm very happy and proud that she has decided to do something like this. It has been her dream and I will be there beside her to make sure that things are always in place."

After several Bollywood actors discovered their love for the small screen, it is now Hrithik Roshan's turn to make his TV debut. The lithe actor will be the grand judge on Star Plus's show Just Dance for which he is being paid approximately Rs 2 crore per episode.

The show, which is expected to bring international and Indian dancers on the same platform, will run into 56 episodes, including screening of entries, auditions, and the actual competition. If industry speculation is anything to go by, the show will fetch Roshan approximately Rs 112 crore, making him one of the highest paid Bollywood actors on TV, joining the ranks of Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.

HrithikRoshan says, "Really? Am I the highest paid star? I won't know if I am the highest paid or even among the highest paid Bollywood actors on TV because to calculate that you need to know who has made how much money. Unfortunately, I haven't kept tabs on other people's earnings. I just know I've been paid well." Roshan was signed on for the show in the last quarter of 2010, just before the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish.

A little over a week ago, the actor rehearsed and shot for the first set of promos for the dance reality show, produced by Fazila Allana's SOL Productions.

The shoot ran into 17 hours, during which he suffered a muscle tear in his chest. The actor, when asked about it at the Max Stardust Awards, confirms and says, "My chest is still in bandage but it's worth it. The promo invites entries. Without divulging too much, I can say that anyone who loves dancing would like to participate after watching the promo."

He adds, "I've worked as a production assistant. I know how much it matters when one has to cancel shoot schedules. So, I just did my bit for the show. I'm sure any professional actor would have done the same for his project and team." Choreographers Farah Khan, Ganesh Hegde and Vaibhavi Merchant are expected to be the co-jury of the show.

Since choreography will be their key focus, will he too judge the performances on the same parameters? "Not really. My focus will be on energy, expression and the impulse of the performers more than just choreography because dance is all about expressing emotions. If your dance can pass on your feelings to those who're watching you, I think you've succeeded as a dancer," says Roshan.

The actor admits that he developed a penchant for dance while he was growing up. Commenting on teaching his sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan, a few of his dance moves, the actor says, "I think they're really young right now for me to teach them any of my moves. But as they grow up, if they really have the proclivity for dance, their daddy will be the happiest to teach them."

Hrithik Roshan has finally joined the Bollywood brigade to have their wax statue installed at Madame Tussauds in London. The youngest male actor from Bollywood to be bestowed this honour, Hrithik unveiled his statue modelled after his famous Dhoom 2 look — sporting a red sleeveless shirt that revealed his chiselled abs. His family comprising his parents, Rakesh and Pinky Roshan, grandfather J Om Prakash, wife Susanne and their two sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan, turned up to support the Bollywood actor.

Cherishing his first experience at the museum, Hrithik recalled, “I was nine years old, holidaying in London with my family when my grandfather and I went to Madame Tussauds. We had to wait in queue for 45 minutes and while I was jumping up and down impatiently, my grandfather (filmmaker J Om Prakash) waited patiently. I even told him that we should go and return the next day, but my grandfather waited till we could enter Madame Tussauds. Today, I feel my grandfather's like that excited child I was.”

The year could not have got off to a more rollicking start for Hrithik Roshan. He celebrates his 36th birthday today.
And, yesterday he was crowned The Times' Most Desirable Man of 2010 in an online poll on www.itimes.com driven by zoOm that saw the actor fighting off a stiff challenge from Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor among other macho and, well, desirable Bollywood heroes. I called up Hrithik at night to congratulate him. He was busy putting his kids, Hrehaan and Hridhaan, to bed!

"I do this whenever I am in town because they wait up for me," explained the Most Desirable Man in a hushed voice. He was delighted with the honour, naturally. "It feels great, because last year two of my films didn't do well, to know that I'm still wanted... it's a good feeling," Hrithik admitted. He has his own interpretation of what 'Desirable' means. "I believe I am a reflection of the potential in all of us," he said, "and if you can recognise that in me, then it is upto each one of you to work hard and in a committed and consistent manner to be what you want to be. I am just a symbol, an artist in the business of selling dreams, the manifestation of one who has travelled the mile to achieve what he desires."
This, from an actor who delivered two turkeys at the box-office in 2010. "I have my own theories about Kites and Guzaarish," he said defensively. "I am not disappointed, it was a milestone year, I am filled with a sense of deep gratitude. I took two of the biggest risks. I went where the brave dare not go. With Kites, I tried to cross the language barrier, and I have learned a lesson; but with Guzaarish, I attempted what no star would do, and it was a gratifying experience. I am used to audiences throwing coins, dancing, for my films. Here, at the end they stood up in silence and clapped.
I got teary-eyed hugs in silence from strangers that said beautiful things. I have never had this experience in my 10 years of cinema. I would be ashamed to complain that the film didn't do well. Sometimes art has to exist without profit and loss. I agree, there has to be certain economics to filmmaking, and there's no reason to take this experience and treat it as a failure; because Guzaarish added to people's lives, it changed my life, I have never felt so deeply about any of my previous works. I try to imbibe the positive qualities from all the characters I play. But from Ethan (his character in Guzaarish), I've realised what life is all about. That pain has such a beautiful meaning, that our shortcomings and misery are the wind beneath our wings, they help us to carry on till we get flight."
That Hrithik Roshan is now flying, I have no doubt. He has put 2010 behind him, and this year he has two exciting films to look forward to - Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Karan Johar's remake of Agneepath, both of which have roles he's never done before. "That's how I enjoy my work, I am an extremist, I hate monotony," Hrithik said. In Zindagi..., he plays the guy next door, there's no emotional confrontation, no fight in his life. And life itself is a beautiful journey in Spain with three people discovering themselves. But Agneepath is the other end of the spectrum. "Grit, revenge, emotional turmoil, it's all there," he said with feeling.
But this is also Amitabh Bachchan's 1990 National Award-winning role as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan for Yash Johar in the original film. Big shoes for Hrithik to fill. "It would be stupid, preposterous, for me to suggest that I want to immitate him," Hrithik said. "His was one of the best performances in the history of cinema, and the film is one of my favourites, so I am going to give it my best shot. But our characters in the films are as different as our personalities are. And no way am I going to give anybody reason for comparison. When I signed Jodhaa Akbar, people said I had signed my death sentence, because Akbar was moulded in Prithviraj Kapoor's personality. Even well-wishers cautioned me against taking up the challenge. Eventually, when the film was released, nobody even compared the performance; because Prithviraj was magnificent as Akbar, but Ashutosh Gowarikar's Akbar was endearing and enjoyable as well. Ultimately, you have to trust your director."

He wakes up to a new year, today. In which, he told me at night, he wishes to be "from sunrise to sunset" as healthy, energetic and flexible as he can so that he may "jump on the bed and play with the kids". Which is a strange request from the man rated yesterday by The Times 50 Most Desirable People of 2010 poll as being blessed with "dropdead gorgeous looks and a Greek God body". For which he worksout religiously first thing in the morning and last thing at night. "Why waste the day," Hrithik asked, "I start with cardio, I do some Yoga, stretches that keep my knees and back on track, and at night I do weights. In the middle, I burn calories through my grey cells!" But the wear and tear of being the Most Desirable Man has also taken its toll on Hrithik Roshan. "I don't have the knees I was born with," he laughed, "and it requires about 30 minutes of maintenance daily for me to, well, take this in my stride. But I do it naturally now... it's like brushing my teeth."

Aamir Khan is, currently, (as of now) the no. 1 actor in Bollywood. The Filmfare Power List, too, hails him as the most powerful Bollywood celebrity. Though, some SRK fans may disagree but let’s accept it. Aamir is presently the numero uno.

But the battle for the 2nd slot is fiercely open and the 3 major actors contesting for this position are:

1. Shahrukh Khan: He is rightly regarded as the ‘King Khan’. Even though, Aamir may have surpassed him, of late, let’s not forget that SRK hasn’t had a major release this season barring ‘My Name is Khan’. But with ‘Don 2’ and ‘Ra. One’ slated for 2011, SRK may leap back to the number 1 slot. As of now, he can claim the 2nd spot.
2. Salman Khan: Dabangg may have raised his stakes but the majority of his last few releases have been flops or average. Though, Dabangg does bear testimony to his humongous fan-following, he needs to show more consistency to fill the no. 2 spot.
3. Hrithik Roshan: Had ‘Kites’ been a mega hit, the story would have been different. As we all know that Twitter’s popularity is increasing day-by-day, the film fraternity made full use of it during the release of Mani Ratnam’s directed film ‘Raavan’. It was reported that twenty-four hours before the first show, there were some tweets like, ‘now for the next five years, Mani Ratnam will not direct a film’, and ‘why is Sita made to be this wimp who goes to Raavan as soon as Ram dumps her?’

But trade analyst Amod Mehra is known in the Bollywood for sending out SMSes on the day of every film release, said that he is often accused of sabotaging a film.

He also asserted that his sms reviews upset producers, but the fact is that an SMS cannot really make a film a hit or flop. But producer-director Karan Johar said that nobody can bring down a good film. And also that no one can harm a good movie…

Barbara Mori, Hrithik’s co-star in “Kites” who also reportedly rocked his marriage, is expected to fly down to Mumbai with her mom and son in a couple of days.

The actress-model, who hails from Mexico, will be in India till the epidemic of swine flu settles down in Mexico.

According to sources, Barbara decided to come to Mumbai on Hrithik’s request. He did not want Barbara to stay in Mexico and called her to Mumbai.

After completing the schedule of “Kites” Barbara had flown back to Mexico to be with her son. However, her brother Kintaro stayed back in Mumbai.

Hrithik has made arrangements for the Mori family at a suburban guest house.

Hrithik Roshan tottaly lost his cool and had a small tiff with the media during his visit to Shirdi.
Hrithik said he lost his temper because he felt the cameramen were trying to invade his privacy.
“I can’t believe they (media) can now enter gods shrine for TRP. Polite words requesting them were ignored. It took efforts to pray with 30 media cameras feeding off every private moment,” Hritihik said after the incident.
“Right now I am trying to forgive myself for losing my cool but I guess when it comes to family any man would do the same,” Hrithik said.

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan and his Mexican co-star Barbara Mori, who were in the capital for the promotion of their latest release Kites, were reportedly mobbed by the crowd.

The duo arrived at The Great India Place Mall in Noida to promote Kites, which hit theatres on Friday. However, they reached the venue much before the scheduled time for the press conference and left in no time, only to dissapoint mediapersons.

After a long wait, sources at an apparel store, where Hrithik was to arrive post the press conference revealed that Hrithik and Barbara were mobbed by the unruly crowd. "The crowd pushed the actors trying to get pictures and autographs. Barbara even bruised her knees," he said.

"The security was unable to deal with screaming fans," he added.

More than thousand people had gathered in the mall to get a glimpse of the actors.

Hrithik recently halted traffic in New York when he sprinted across 42nd Street to meet his eager fans.

Hrithik Roshan-Barbara Mori starrer ‘Kites‘, a love story about an Indian guy and a Spanish girl, has become the first film to have 10,000 shows across Indian theatres on its first day May 21.

Produced by Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft and distributed by Reliance BIG Pictures, ‘Kites’ has opened in 2,000 screens in India and 500 screens overseas, making it the biggest Indian release so far.

“I am overwhelmed by the response both in India and abroad,” said producer Rakesh Roshan.

Hrithik said: “My dad and I are extremely grateful to Reliance BIG Pictures for the extraordinary release given to ‘Kites’ worldwide and the tremendous love showered on the film by cinegoers.”

The multiplexes are booked till Sunday (May 23).

“The advance ticket booking has been extraordinary. We have sold more than 5,500 tickets for the next three days,” said Amit Awasthi, senior manager (programming and operations) of Spice Cinemas that is running 33 shows per day with a seating capacity of more than 8,000, told IANS.

Deepak Taluja, senior vice president (business and operations) of Fun Cinemas, said: “The advance booking at Fun Cinemas till Sunday for all the properties put together in Delhi is close to 3,500. We are expecting ‘Kites’ to run for at least two more weeks.”

On May 28, Brett Ratner’s pacier version titled ‘Kites: The Remix’ will be released in 300 screens worldwide.

The international press has raved about the film.

New York Times praised Hrithik in its review saying, “Mr. Hrithik Roshan requires viewing uncut: writhing on the dance floor or just gazing into space, the man was made to drive women crazy, one movie at a time.”

Rajesh Roshan has another hit album in the soundtrack of much-awaited film ‘Kites’. The album boasts of five originals and four remixes and all the songs exude freshness and melody. Most of them have a romantic touch and it seems the composer composed them specially for people in love.

But it won’t be wrong to say that the highlight of the soundtrack is the song sung by Hrithik Roshan.

The album opens with ‘Zindagi do pal ki’, a melodious song, currently doing the rounds on television channels. The mushy song instantly connects, thanks to simple but meaningful poetry and effective vocals by KK.

This track also has a remix version, which doesn’t sound like an unnecessary addition.

‘Dil kyun yeh mera’, crooned by KK again has a soft, soothing beginning that makes you sway. The romantic song gets a rock feel in the middle, which gives it an edge. A well-composed track.

This too has a remixed version, which unlike most remixes has some substance. It does not entail unnecessary sounds but has beats that gel well with the song. The rap that comes along makes the remix worth a hear.

Next is Vishal Dadlani and Suraj Jagan singing ‘Tum bhi ho wahi’. A slow start, but it picks up pace after a few seconds. The punch in it makes it all the more interesting. It experiments a lot with percussions.

The remixed version of the song, however, is average.

Then we have the most anticipated song of the album, ‘Kites in the sky’. Hrithik makes his singing debut with the breezy love ballad in English. Hrithik proves his mettle as a singer with this soft, free flowing melody. The rise and fall of tempo is impressive. Suzanne D Mello gives ample support to Hrithik with the Spanish lyrics. Even though it has minimal orchestration, Hrithik does a commendable job and manages to pull off the song very well.

Finally there is ‘Fire’ with Rajesh Roshan, Vishal Dadlani, Anirudh Bhola and Anushka Manchanda behind the mike. The song is marked by a long prelude, electronic sounds and strong orchestration. The vocals too come along way, but much later. It sounds like a track to be used as a background score.

It also has an English version, which is not too different from the Hindi version.

On the whole, for ‘Kites’, Rajesh Roshan has experimented with some modern sounds and beats that make the album interesting. One can look forward to the album that has a potential to become a hit.

He’s played the role of Mughal ruler Akbar in ‘ruler Akbar‘, and now Hrithik Roshan is all set to play a Roman emperor in a new TV commercial.

Directed by Indrajit Nattoji, the ad is for cookie brand Milano for which Hrithik is the brand ambassador.

“Set against a background of 10,000 warriors, we are almost filming a ‘Gladiator‘ (movie) in 30 seconds… We’ll be going the way of the Hollywood hit ’300′… 20 extra warriors are going to multiply into 10,000 (and) putting Hrithik in an uber cool period, packaging in 30 seconds was a high,” Nattoji said.

“I was also influenced by his classical good looks reminiscent of a Greek god,” added the director who admits Hrithik’s regal bearing as a Mughal emperor in ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ helped in determining his new avatar.

The first phase of the ad has been shot in Mehboob Studios in Mumbai and the second phase that involves a war scene is scheduled to begin in Gran Sasso Campo, 150 km from Rome, around mid May.

Hrithik’s costume for ad has been designed by Sanjeev Mulchandani.

The post-production of the ad will be done in Malaysia.

While the rest of gay New York, and its gay tourists, were readying themselves for PRIDE (which I don’t celebrate because ‘pride’ is one of the seven deadly sins) on Friday, I was making a holy pilgrimage out of Manhattan and into the wild, uncharted territory of Jackson Heights, Queens. I went to pay homage to Hrithik Roshan—subcontinental superstar of the just-released Bollywood superhero film KRRISH, which was playing at the Eagle, an old Art Deco theater and former porn house in Queens’ Indian neighborhood. (Even though I just found out that KRRISH is actually playing in Manhattan too! Take that, Superman!)

KRRISH is being promoted as B-Wood’s answer to Superman, Spiderman, Batman, yadda yadda, but has little in common with those lycra-wrapped quasi-spectacles. First of all, Hrithik has more sexual charisma in his (extra) thumb than the American variety has in their entire over-hyped bodies. (My friend Damion summed it up in an email to me regarding the upcoming Superman film: "Interesting that Krrish comes out the same time as the Americans with their Superman….It's a bird, it's a plane – oh no no no you stupid child, it's just American neuroses of waning omnipotence in light of sustained military defeat, economic impotence and cultural decline.”) And second, and most importantly of all, the Superman actor and the rest of his limitedly talented ilk lack the most important skills of all: Singing and dancing! To see Hrithik dance—to gaze upon him as he gyrates his formidable, breathtaking bod before Bollywood’s trademark snowcapped mountains and impossibly azure skies (hyper-idealized settings which remind me of images from Nazi and Chinese Communist propaganda)—is to experience a divine, cock-tease fantasia (all those almost-kisses!) wrapped in layers of dizzying, mystical orchestration and recherché kitsch costuming. It’s like the moves of Gene Kelly morphed with Michael Jackson’s and possessed by the entire pantheon of Hindu deities who’ve each consumed a triple shot Shiva power boost non-fat chai latte. Hrithik Roshan is, in short, the bee’s knees. (When Hrithik appears in public in India, riotous frenzies erupt among legions of delirious fans—a phenomenon dubbed “Hrithikmania” by the Indian media.)

And his female co-star does a fantastic job as well. (Yes, I did notice there was a woman in this number too.) The above clip is from the science fiction film, Koi Mil Gaya which KRRISH is the sequel to. Koi is like E.T. combined with Jerry Lewis’s The Nutty Professor. Hrithik plays Rohit, a mentally retarded man still attending grammar school who is transformed into—dare I say it—a metrosexual version of Lewis’s Buddy Love by an alien named Jadoo (Hindi for ‘magic’). Since many Bollywood films deal with issues concerning India’s class system and religions—after all, Bollywood’s main audience is the country’s 300 million people who live below the poverty line—it’s obvious that Rohit is meant to represent an ‘untouchable’ from the subcontinent’s lower caste. The aliens represent the mystical forces of Hinduism (Rohit is visited by Jadoo after he prays to Lord Krishna) and demonstrate the rewards one will receive for keeping the faith. The analogous religious theme carries over into KRRISH where Rohit’s son, also played by Hrithik, is named Krishna—later shortened to Krrish when he’s in superhero costume mode. Because Protestant America lacks the transcendent, flamboyant aesthetics of Hinduism—an integral force in Bollywood song and dance numbers—we’re left with a Superman whose interplanetary pedigree seems vague and rootless. Examining this secular sci-fi invention which is a product of a young nation and culture, one would probably have to resort to Freudianism for parables—Superman as omnipotent father figure in a country where the concept of family is comparably unstable. (The strength of family bonds is a major theme in Bollywood films.) It’s interesting to note that while America has been producing superhero epics since the 1930’s, it’s taken India 70 years to catch up—probably because the need to manufacture a supernatural protector was unnecessary in a country saturated in ancient, ubiquitous religious faith and ritual. And while KRRISH’s light pop culture treatment of Lord Krishna will unlikely do much to alter Hinduism’s stance in Indian culture, America already began its descent into postmodern religious cynicism in the early ‘70s—witness ‘Jesus Christ’ in a Superman T-shirt and a full face of clown makeup in the musical Godspell or the camp relic that is Jesus Christ Superstar. (Yes, believe it or not, mighty Madonna was not the first to tinker with Christianity in a musical context.)

Tinsel town is abuzz with talks about Shahrukh Khan starring in Rakesh Roshan's Krrish 2.

If sources are to be believed then Bollywood's King Khan and Hrithik Roshan will share screen space together in the sequel to Bollywood's super hit sci-fi Krrish which in itself is a sequel to Koi Mil Gaya.

Grapevine says that Shahrukh Khan gave his consent as soon as he was offered a role by Rakesh Roshan over phone without even enquiring about the movie nor his role!

It was only after he received a text message on his phone from Hrithik Roshan that he realised he had just accepted the role of a superhero in Krrish 2. The text message that Hrithik wrote read something like this: Krrish is gonna kick Kroadh's ass. U better b in shape!

Shah Rukh Khan will be playing an alien in human form (Kroadh), who cannot be killed. He will initially fight against Hrithik, but at the time of the final battle, he will fight from Hrithik's side against the evil forces.

Hrithik Roshan is one of the most stars who had glorified bollywood films for the last 10 years. The leading actors of bollywood generally had learnt acting and other skills after acting in a number of films. It did not happen in case of Hrithik Roshan. He learnt his choreographic skills, action skills and other mannerisms before starting his career and showed all these skills in his first film Kahona Pyar Hai.

It was directed by his father Rakesh Roshan, the son of the eminent music composer Roshan. The film showed a singer and performer, Rohit, seeing the killing of an individual by big industrialists and then they killed him. Amish Patel who had affair with Rohit, went to New Zealand and a similar face named Raaj, who came to India and unearthed the truth and held her father Anupam Kher also guilty of the misdeeds along with the other offenders. The film had good music, romantic locations and quality action sequence and became one of the greatest hits of all times.

He had provided decent performance in the film Fiza, and Mission Kashmir. In Mission Kashmir, he had acted in the role of a terrorist who became a victim of circumstances, as his parents were killed by Sanjay Dutt and he developed hatred towards the law enforcing authorities of the country. There were mixed responses, as a number of viewers appreciated Sanjay Dutt as the law enforcing personnel, and it was difficult for Hrithik to create impact with a negative role, but his acting performance was appreciated.

He continued to act in the 2nd and 3rd part of Kahona Pyar Hai, titled “Koi mil gaya” and “Krish,” directed by his father. In “Koi mil Gaya” he acted in the role of a handicapped person who ultimately acquired supernatural power and used it to combat the misdeeds of evil persons. He acted opposite Preeti Zinta and Priyanka Chopra in the respective films and matched them in performance in either of the films. There is no second opinion that he is the best dancer ever to grace Indian silver screen.

He had impressed the viewers in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham opposite Kareena Kapoor, and Laksh opposite Preeti Zinta. Even as a military personality he has impressed the viewers in his role in Laksh. In one part of the film he showed his laziness and in the other part he had shown his disciplined endeavour.

Even as an anti-hero in the film Dhoom 2, he had amazed the viewers, opposite Aishwaria Rai, and he received even better reviews than Abhishek Bacchan, who had played the positive role in the film. Viewers are looking ahead to see his brilliant performance in the role of Akbar in the film Jodha-Akbar, opposite Aishwariya Rai. The historical character requires royal performance and he has the acting skills to play the legendary character. He has a lot of acting left in him and is expected to do even better in the future.

Hrithik Roshan has a rocking last couple of years with the success of films like Dhoom 2 and Jodhaa Akbar still echoing at the box office. However, another reason the last few years have been rather interesting for him is because of his new opted role in fatherhood. Speaking to Subhash K Jha the actor talked about how he disciplined his kids, what they love to do as they grow up and most importantly how does he manage his time with them.

The actor began by a regret for not having spent as much time as he would have liked with his youngest son Hridaan who is now 14 months old. "I've been shooting most of the time. I've hardly had time to be with him. Hridaan smiles at everything and everyone. He's quite a smiley baby," the actor said.

If you're wondering what the oldest son Hrehaan is up to then it seems that he's taking to his daddy's ways and being the superhero of the household! The actor was proud to boast about his son crazy life when he said, "Sometimes for half a day Hrehaan is Krrish and for the other half of the day he is Spiderman or Superman. So he's flying around the house all day." In addition he said that no overly needed rules are imposed on Hrehaan and he's allowed to go as crazy as possible given some limits like putting all the toys back when he's done.

However, we all know that with kids not all things are peachy, a bit of discipline is always requires, so how does Hrithik reason with his kids, To that the actor replied, "I've never stopped him from doing anything. Hrithik Roshan, fondly known as Duggu by his near and dear ones, was born into a filmi family on the 10th of January, 1974. His mother is Pinky Roshan, the daughter of producer and director J.Om Prakash while his father is Rakesh Roshan, who was an actor before turning into a director, besides being the son of music director Roshan. He is the nephew of music director Rajesh Roshan. He also has a sister Sunaina.
Hrithik studied at the Bombay Scottish School, Churchgate and has a degree in commerce from Sydenham College.
Soon after his successful debut in Bollywood, he tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Suzanne Khan, daughter of actor Sanjay Khan and sister of actor Zayed Khan. They have two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhan.
He had his bad moments after stepping into the spotlight. His father was shot by the underworld when he refused to give the foreign rights of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. It was followed by rumours that the actor had made remarks against Nepalese which resulted in outrage against the actor in Nepal. However the actor denied it.
Hrithik is known to be a perfectionist and has worked very hard to be where he is today. He prepares himself thoroughly for every role he portrays, has trained in dance and acting besides working on his diction and his appearance.
